How to Break Into Your Locked Android Device

How to Break Into Your Locked Android Device

To prevent unwanted access to your phone, it is always wise to enable certain security measures. By design, Android devices come with very helpful security features that you can set up to protect your device from prying eyes. Two of the most commonly used security measures are the pattern lock and the personal identification number (PIN). Unfortunately, you may be locked out of your own Android device due to a forgotten password or pattern lock. While being locked out of your Android device can be frustrating, it is only a minor setback as you can easily bypass these security measures and break into your Android device so you can use it again.

Method 1 of 3: Bypassing the Pattern Lock

  1. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 1 Version 4.jpg
    1
Read the notification. If you have incorrectly tried to unlock your device more than five times, your device will notify you that the pattern has been attempted beyond the number of wrong tries allowed.
    • At this point, the device will notify you that you will need to wait for thirty seconds before attempting again.
  2. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 2 Version 4.jpg
    2
Follow the instructions on your device’s screen. Depending on your device, options may vary in order to recover your forgotten unlock pattern. The device may prompt you to answer a security question that you had provided during the setting up of the pattern.
    • Alternatively, you may be prompted to provide your Gmail account address, and Google will then send you the forgotten pattern to your Gmail account.
  3. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 3 Version 4.jpg
    3
Set up a new unlock pattern. Choosing the security question option will reset the unlock pattern, and this will give you the option of setting up a new unlock pattern.
    • It may be wiser to use a pattern that is easier for you to remember.
    • Taking the Gmail option, just log into your Gmail account, and check your inbox for the email Google sent you, which will contain your current unlock pattern.

EditMethod 2 of 3: Bypassing the PIN or Password Lock by Hard Reset

  1. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 4 Version 4.jpg
    1
Understand what a hard reset will entail. It is basically a factory reset and will wipe out all the data on the device, reverting it to its factory state (the state it was in when you bought it).[1]
    • If you don’t mind losing the personal data stored in your device, proceed to the next few steps.
  2. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 5 Version 4.jpg
    2
Turn off your device. Just press down on the Power button and select “Power off” from the menu that pops up.
    • Alternatively, you can also just hold down the Power button for five seconds until your device powers off.
  3. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 6 Version 3.jpg
    3
Perform the three-button push. Press down the Volume Up button, the Home button, and the Power button simultaneously. Let go when you see some text flash on the screen. What you should expect is a graphically simple menu, and if your phone boots on normally, repeat process until you get the said menu. This should send your phone into system recovery mode.
  4. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 7 Version 3.jpg
    4
Look for the Factory Reset option. For navigation, do not use the touchscreen to select options as that will not work. To navigate up and down, use the Volume button, and to select, use the Power button. Scroll down to the “Factory reset” option, and select it.
    • You may have a second screen where you'll need to choose the option "delete all data" and select it, again using the Power button.
    • On your screen, you will see the progress of the “wiping clean” process, and once it is complete, you must select "reboot system now" on your screen. It is also possible that your phone may automatically restart. Your phone should then be as good as new. Then you can reboot all your info by phone info recovery and it will bring every thing back that you had backed up.

EditMethod 3 of 3: Using a Lock Bypass App

  1. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 8 Version 4.jpg
    1
Make sure your Android device is online. This method works only if your device is connected to the Internet, and it is signed into your Google account.
    • If you wish to retain the data on your device, using a lock bypass app is a viable option. However, there is no guarantee that the app will work for your particular device.
  2. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 9 Version 4.jpg
    2
Find the app using a PC. Open the Google Play store on your PC browser and log in with your Google account. The app recommended is Screen Lock Bypass.[2]Just enter the app name in the Search bar, and click on “Search.” Once you have found the app, click on “Buy,” and then “Install.”
    • Select your device from the list of registered devices. Then the application will automatically be sent to your device, and will be installed.
  3. Break Into Your Locked Android Device Step 10 Version 4.jpg
    3
Activate the bypass app. Once the app installation is complete, reboot the device to activate the app. Alternatively, you can trigger the app by plugging the USB charger into the phone.
    • Once the app is activated, a screen will appear with an “Activate” button. Click on the button to effectively reset your password or PIN on your lock screen. On the next screen, you will have to select "Remove Lock Password." This will allow you to access your phone again.

How to Make Deep Fried Tequila Shots

As crazy as it may sound, deep fried tequila shots are a fun way to “have your cake and eat it too.” These shots are delicious so proceed with caution.

Ingredients

  • Angel food cake (cut into small bite-sized chunks)
  • Tequila
  • Canola oil
  • Powdered sugar

Steps

  1. Make Deep Fried Tequila Shots Step 1.jpg
    1
Cut the cake into bite-sized chunks. You want guests to be able to just pop them in their mouth so don’t make the pieces too large.
  2. Make Deep Fried Tequila Shots Step 2.jpg
    2
Soak the cake in a bowl of tequila. Because angel food cake is highly spongy, this cake will absorb the tequila quickly.
    • Don’t leave cake in the tequila for too long or else it may start to break down and disintegrate.
  3. Make Deep Fried Tequila Shots Step 3.jpg
    3
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or saucepan. Bring oil to a hot enough temperature where cake will fry instantly (but not burn).
    • Don’t drop cake into oil until it is ready or else the bites will get too soggy.
  4. Make Deep Fried Tequila Shots Step 4.jpg
    4
Remove cake from oil once bites are completely fried and transfer to a plate covered with a paper towel. Allow towel to absorb residual grease.
  5. Make Deep Fried Tequila Shots Step 5.jpg
    5
Sprinkle bites with powdered sugar (lightly) and serve immediately.
  6. Make Deep Fried Tequila Shots Final.jpg
    6
    Finished.

  • Serve these puppies hot in a salt-rimmed shot glass and a gummy worm on the bottom. Even a small lime wedge might be a nice touch.
  • Not a fan of tequila? Substitute the booze for something you like or make it non-alcoholic.

How to Get a Job

How to Get a Job

Whether you're looking for your very first job, switching careers, or re-entering the job market after an extended absence, finding a job requires two main tasks: setting and following through on your goals and using the latest tools to enter the job market. Assuming you'vechosen a career objectives and are currently searching for jobs, here are several ways to actually get a job.

Part 1 of 4: Building Your Qualifications

1
Revise your resume. Before you start job hunting, make sure that your resume is as complete and up-to-date as possible. Your resume is an important distillation of who you are, where you come from, and what you can offer. Here are a few tips to consider:
  • Never make up information on a resume; it can come back to haunt you later.
  • Look at a variety of recent, relevant job descriptions. Use similar language to describe your skills and accomplishments on your own resume.
  • Use active verbs. When describing what you did at your last job, make the sentence as tight and active as possible.
  • Proofread. Review your resume several times for grammatical or spelling errors. Even something as simple as a typo could negatively impact your ability to land an interview, so pay close attention to what you've left on the page. Have one or two other people look at it as well.
  • Keep the formatting classic and to the point. How your resume looks is almost as important as how it reads. Use a simple font (such as Times New Roman, Arial or Bevan), black ink on white or ivory colored paper, and wide margins (about 1" on each side). Avoid bold or italic lettering. Ensure your name and contact information are clearly and prominently displayed.

2
Prepare for the job interview: Develop your personal "elevator pitch". Many structured interviews, particularly those at large companies, start with a question like "Tell me about yourself." The interviewer doesn't want to hear about grade school or growing up. This is a work and experience related question with a right answer: in two minutes or so, the interviewer wants to understand your background, your accomplishments, why you want to work at this company and what your future goals are.
  • Keep it brief — between 30 seconds and two minutes — and have the basics of it memorized so that you don't stammer when you're asked to describe yourself. You don't want to sound like recording or a robot, either, so only get the structure of it down, and learn to improvise the rest depending on who you're talking to. Practice your elevator pitch out loud on someone who can give you feedback.
  • An elevator pitch is also useful for when you're networking, at a party or anywhere with a group of strangers who want to get to know you a little bit more. In a networking situation, as opposed to a job interview, keep the elevator pitch to 30 seconds or less.
3 Make a list of work-related skills you'd like to learn. Your employer will be interested in hearing about how you intend to become a better employee. Think about which skills will make you more competent in the position you're applying for. Find some books and upcoming conferences that would significantly improve your abilities. In an interview, tell the employer what you're reading and learning, and that you'd like to continue doing so. Here is a list of some of the most important job skills, wanted by employers, that a job-seeker must have to be sure of landing a good job and just as importantly, keeping it.
  • Logical thinking and information handling: Most businesses regard the ability to handle and organize information to produce effective solutions as one of the top skills they want. They value the ability to make sensible solutions regarding a spending proposal or an internal activity.
  • Technological ability: Most job openings will require people who are IT or computer literate or know how to operate different machines and office equipment, whether it's a PC or multi-function copier and scanner. This doesn't mean that employers need people who are technology graduates — knowing the basic principles of using current technology is sufficient.
  • Communicating effectively: Employers tend to value and hire people who are able to express their thoughts efficiently through verbal and written communication. People who land a good job easily are usually those who are adept in speaking and writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Because the working environment consists of various kinds of personalities and people with different backgrounds, it is essential to possess the skill of communicating and working with people from different walks of life.

How to Find the Perfect Gift For Your Father

How to Find the Perfect Gift For Your Father

Make your dad's gift something unique, exciting and memorable! Whether it's your Dad's birthday coming up or Father's day is nearing, choosing the perfect gift for Dad isn't always obvious. While you could resort to the tie, cufflinks, and baseball caps, there are a lot more interesting things you could get for him. Here are some ideas.

1
Spend time with him. Time is definitely the greatest gift of all and something we each have the power to bestow. Spend time with him doing things you know he'll appreciate, such as going for a walk, climb, or hike together; going fishing, cycling, or sailing together; watching a movie together; visiting an art gallery or museum; attending a sports match. Choose whatever you're sure he'll enjoy and make sure there is time to just chill and talk together.

2
Fulfill his dreams. If you're able to afford an expensive gift, try an experience gift. This sort
of gift involves purchasing an experience that is not your ordinary activity. Think racing a car on a racetrack, skydiving from a plane, going for a balloon ride, taking a fighter pilot flight, doing a bungee jump, etc. You know your Dad best, so you'll know what experience he would find simply awesome and breathtaking. While it's costly, it will be a gift he's never going to forget!
  • Other more hands-on experience gifts include cooking classes, ice climbing, wilderness/outdoors first aid classes, learning to make things classes, etc.
    • Ask the rest of the family to pitch in on this sort of gift; that will reduce the costsand save your siblings having to find a gift (and Mom might even help too).
3
Bring someone into his life who he hasn't seen for ages. Arrange for an old army buddy, a long lost school friend, a cherished and admired mentor, or someone else he cares about to turn up for the day. Organize the travel, the accommodation, and the day's activities so that it all proceeds according to plan. Be sure to call this person another name when talking to family about them, so that your Dad is thrown off the scent!
  • You can use sites like Facebook and friend reunion services to look for people and get in touch with them quickly.
4
Give a gift that keeps arriving. Month clubs can bring many surprises to Dad's door, with monthly shipments of all sorts of goodies such as chocolate, books, wine, cookies, pies, barbecue sauces, gourmet delicacies, and other delights. It's not something he's likely to arrange for himself, so indulge him.
  • Another great once-a-month gift is an arrangement to send him to a new restaurant every month for a set time. Draw up an itinerary of suggestedrestaurants and let him know he can choose one a month for the next "X" months, all costs covered. You can either call the chosen restaurants ahead with your credit card or have him forward the bill to you.
  • A monthly gift can be for as many months as you can afford; it doesn't have to be for the whole year. Or, you could be the source of the monthly gift by sending him a batch of homemade cookies or a new cake every month!

5
Write him a letter of thanks and appreciation. While this isn't something that costs money, it is priceless and he'll love it. Thank him for the things he has done for you and be sure to specify precise things that have happened in the past year in which you felt he has supported you, cared for you, and made you feel special. Tell him that you're proud of him and that you're incredibly happy to have him as your Dad. This is the sort of gift that will make his day.

6
Do something he has been asking you to do but you haven't yet done. Clean out the pool or gutters, sweep the yard, put away your junk, bring him the quotes or information he's been asking for, show him your trip photos, etc. Whatever it is that you've been putting off doing at his request, do it!

7
Consider a corny gift. Once in a while, a gift that's a little saccharin sweet but fun can go down well, especially in tandem with a decent gift. Such gifts can be mugs,t-shirts, badges, and other trinkets that have messages about great dads, and similarly worded Dad pride. Have fun with this one and give it in the spirit of having a laughtogether.
